Lauren’s Lovely Colorful Wedding – The Grand Ballroom
Posted in Real Weddings on February 2nd, 2013 by MarshaI love all the colors we picked out together for Lauren’s wedding. I have had so many compliments on her bouquets. They were the perfect touch to bring together her bridesmaids dresses and her venue. The images by Erik Perel Photography are awesome. Lauren looked fantastic in her wedding dress. My favorite photos are the ones taken at Pullen Park. Ofcourse the one by the Bell Tower at my alma mater is very cool also. Their reception was at the Grand Ballroom in downtown Raleigh. Great views of the city from the 23r floor!
Snipes Farm in Chapel Hill
Posted in Real Weddings on January 24th, 2013 by MarshaSarah and I had nice time and some long talks. I enjoyed helping her make decisions and pull off their country wedding. Wood slices, lanterns and Fall flowers on the tables, tree stumps for the altars flowing with greenery, flower filled pumpkins and flowers, and for the aisle markers long streamers of raffia. I love the picture of the little flower girl laying on the ground behind them during the ceremony. Photography by Rebecca Ames Photography.
Jessica and Ben at Salem Oaks
Posted in Real Weddings on January 22nd, 2013 by MarshaJessica wanted antique vintage elegance with a touch of country flair. When we looked around at Pinterest she knew what she didn’t want and we came up with what she did. I love her bouquet wrapped with lace and her grandmothers pearls and broach. Each bridesmaid had a vintage broach added to their bouquet handle as well. Each bouquet had texture and design but Jessica’s was the best! Look at all the detail in her flower design. Beautiful! Jessica said the bouquets were gorgeous and exactly what she had in mind. Photography by Carrie Jo Pinckard at Texture Photo Website | www.texturephoto.com Facebook http://on.fb.me/texturefb |
Julia and Hal First Presbyterian and NC Museum of History
Posted in Real Weddings on January 17th, 2013 by MarshaWhat a surprise when Julia’s Mom called me to discuss her daughter Julia’s wedding. As we talked, we realized that we knew each other and had gone to the same college and had some classes together! Small world sometimes. This was the first wedding after the renovation of First Presbyterian in Raleigh. What a lovely old church. Such a nice visit we had when we first met to talk about plans. Julia’s parents fell in love with pictures of a wedding I had just done and we simply made a few changes to suit her taste. Beautiful, colorful wedding. The bouquets looked so pretty with the bridesmaids dresses. The bride just glowed with joy and happiness. May Julia and Hal be blessed with many many years of happiness. Below is a comment from the bride:

Shady Wagon Farm – Leah and Adam
Posted in Real Weddings on January 14th, 2013 by MarshaLeah with the long, long beautiful hair and love of my new rescue kittens Meg and Jet. Leah came over several times to play with the kittens and follow-up on flowers. Not sure which we talked about most. Such a caring and compassionate heart she has. It was so nice to meet her Adam on their wedding day. Leahs hair was all done up in a beautiful crown of tiny braids. The two of them look so in love. Her wedding flowers look perfect with the dresses. Shady Wagon was the also the perfect place for their wedding on a perfect Fall day. What can I say. It was all just perfect :- ) Enjoy the pictures by Carl Butler and Keepsake Memories www.keepsakemp.com. Call us for your Shady Wagon wedding. We love working there!
Chapel Hill Country Club – Rebecca and Tom
Posted in Real Weddings on January 13th, 2013 by MarshaRebecca’s expressions are priceless. Suzanne at b real photo did a superior job catching Rebecca with all the people she loves. You can just see it all over her face! Tom looks so handsome. Rebecca’s bouquet is just like her, fun and fabulous. Full of white roses, hydrangea, delphinium, lisianthus, lambs ear and rosemary. Her bridesmaids bouquets were a perfect complement to their dresses and the bride! Rebecca and Tom may you have a long and happy marriage.
From Rebecca: The flowers and centerpieces were gorgeous. I was so happy with them! Thanks for everything.
Piazza at Portofino – Cara and James
Posted in Real Weddings on January 12th, 2013 by MarshaCara and James got married on a perfect day in Clayton at the Piazza at Portofino. What an elegant setting. The equestrian center has beautiful scenery surrounding it. But nothing would surpass our bride. Cara looked like a movie star, or a model. She could be on a magazine cover. Diana and Andrew at Simply D Photo did a fantastic job of capturing their emotions and being in the moment. They were so easy for me to work with, I imagine it is just a easy for the bride and groom. Thank you for the beautifuil images. I thought Cara’s bouquet was one of the prettiest I designed during the very busy Fall bridal season. What happy photos of a blessed bride and groom. Congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy marriage. Below is a comment from the bride.
“I cant thank you enough for the wonderful job
you did on my bouquets and corsages last weekend! They were gorgeous! You were just
wonderful to work with!”

Kendall and Justin at Fairview UMC and Cafe Luna in Raleigh
Posted in Real Weddings on January 11th, 2013 by MarshaKendall and Justin had a beautiful wedding with all pretty pastel flowers. Garden roses, hydrangea and stock. Photography here is by Conway Photo Shop.
Kendall wanted vintage touches using her Granny’s handkerchief on her bouquet with a vintage broach I gave her. I also supplied vintage handkerchiefs beneath the centerpieces and gave Kendall a vintage handkerchief with her new initial! Kendall was thrilled with everything. Her comments are below. I am so blesssed with such wonderful brides.
The flowers looked BEAUTIFUL and were everything that I had
envisioned. While we were planning the wedding, I began to notice that I knew
exactly what I didn’t like, but I often found it hard to articulate what I did
like; I thought this would present a huge problem when it came to the flowers.
However, after only talking with us a few times, you were able to figure out
the perfect combination of everything I liked and designed exactly what I had
in my head. During the planning process I often questioned my choice of the
bridesmaids dress color, but as soon as I saw the girls with their bouquets, I
knew I had made the right decision. Your flowers brought everything together.
Your attention to detail was amazing! My mother and mother-in-law absolutely
loved the ribbon bows you put on their corsages and the fact that you
wrapped my bouquet with my Granny’s handkerchief. They both went on and on
about how unique and special everything was. The centerpieces for the reception
were also a huge hit and fit right into Cafe Luna perfectly. When we arrived we
were so surprised to see the monogrammed handkerchief from you! That was such a
special gift and one that will be cherished and passed down so that hopefully
another girl can wrap her bouquet with it
You really did go above and beyond
for us and we truly appreciate everything you did! We will definitely be
recommending you to all of our newly engaged friends!
